Tommy Duffy

Tommy Duffy

Founding Partner

Renova founder Tommy Duffy is a practice leader for Renova’s restructuring services, having developed and implemented strategies allowing bank clients to restructure and sell over $2 billion of nonperforming assets. Tommy’s experience includes representing banks that are parties to loss share agreements with the FDIC as he assists banks with the management and disposition of loss share assets and loss share compliance requirements.

Prior to founding Renova, Tommy led various aspects of the successful financial and operational restructuring of Allied Holdings, a publicly traded transportation and logistics provider. Tommy previously was a partner at the law firm of Troutman Sanders LLP in the corporate and securities practice group, where he advised clients on capital raises and merger and acquisition activities.


Jack Glass

Business Development Director

Jack Glass is a banking industry veteran with 40 years of experience working with community and regional banks. He leverages his inside knowledge and extensive network of financial relationships to help Renova clients succeed.

Jack spent the bulk of his career managing the Financial Institutions Group at SunTrust Bank, Inc., one of the nation’s largest financial services companies with more than 1,000 bank clients and total assets in excess of $174 billion. Jack has served on several industry boards and has been called on frequently to participate in panel discussions relating to key industry trends.

Managing Director, Investment Banking

John Wheeler serves as a managing director of Renova’s investment banking practice. John has more than 13 years of investment banking experience. He previously co-found Servius Capital LLC, an Atlanta-based boutique investment bank. Prior to Servius, John served as CFO of several subsidiaries of CompuCredit Corporation, including a 500+ network of micro-lending locations, an Internet platform for various credit card, micro-loan, and other credit products and a network of 12 buy-here, pay-here (BHPH) auto finance locations.

John previously held investment banking roles at Stephens Inc. and JPMorgan H&Q. He began his career in the New York and London offices of Salomon Brothers Inc. John has his B.A. from Princeton University and received an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.


Matt Tarkenton

Managing Director, Investment Banking

Matt Tarkenton serves as managing director of Renova’s investment banking practice. With more than 15 years of finance, investment banking, strategy, business development, and operational experience with growing companies, Matt provides Renova’s portfolio companies with valuable guidance in overcoming challenges and seizing growth opportunities.

Before joining Renova, Matt served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Tarkenton Financial, a national insurance marketing company, and as vice president of business development for Lodestar Technology Labs. Prior experience with stalwart firms such as JPMorgan, The Robinson-Humprhrey Company, and Alex. Brown & Sons included providing support for M&A activities and capital offerings for growth-oriented technology, healthcare, and financial services companies.

Pete DeBuys

Vice President, Real Estate

Pete DeBuys is Renova’s Qualifying Broker, specializing in REO disposition, office and retail leasing and sales, multi-family sales and management, and commercial development throughout the Southeast. A 10-year veteran of Georgia’s commercial real estate industry, Pete provides clients a unique perspective and comprehensive approach to their short-term sale of troubled assets and long-term real estate strategy.

Pete’s extensive experience includes working extensively with school projects and restaurant leasing, and he additionally has 20 years of experience in telecommunications. He holds professional memberships with the
Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors® and the International Council of Shopping Centers.


Lynn Adair


In addition to her CFO duties, Lynn Adair utilizes her finance, real estate, mortgage, and banking expertise to help Renova clients resolve their portfolios of special assets. Lynn’s expertise comes from both sides of the transaction, as lender and as borrower, giving her a unique perspective in developing workable solutions for problem assets.

Lynn’s three decades of experience includes spearheading high-profile special projects during her tenure as vice president of finance for the realty and property management subsidiary of Williams Group International. Successes included negotiating and placing debt, providing merger and acquisition analysis, developing strategic plans, and providing accounting and finance leadership. Prior to that, she was a commercial lender for First Atlanta, specializing in community banks. Lynn is a licensed Georgia real estate broker.
